Morning Meds with Izzy Herriette & Co - Friday - JAN 28, 2011
About a month ago the Lord spoke a verse of scripture to me that I'm very familiar with. When He shared it with me this time, it took on a whole new meaning and I would like to look at that verse with you today:
Luke 18:8 - ... Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
Look at this closely, if you will, and recognize that this verse follows a chapter in which Jesus had just spoken directly and specifically to the time of His Second Coming!
When I heard Him quote this scripture to me a month ago, within the context of the day that we now find ourselves to be in, I nearly exploded inside! I "got it" for the first time - ever!
Do you realize how tried people are in their faith at this particular time ... when there is such extreme trial everywhere ... on every level ... and in every area of life? Yet, this IS, the time that Jesus spoke of, when He asked the people this question in Luke 18.
Does it hit you like it was hitting me and still is?
If our faith wasn't tested before, it will be in the day before His return. Are you ready? And not just ready, but do you realize that He is looking for a Church, that will be found operating in the fullness of faith at the very moment when everything is falling apart ... when the hearts of men are failing for fear of those things coming upon the earth ... when it seems that all things are giving way to wickedness and destruction all around? We as God's people are to be walking in the fullness of His joy, love, faith ...
Let that go off inside your inner person!
So, here we go:
Hebrews 11:6 - But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Revelation 3:20-22 - Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame and am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
I love the way this is stated in Revelation. Look at how the verse regarding "overcoming" is surrounded by two verses instructing us in our "fellowship" with Him.
How will we be found in faith at His Coming? Oh, Church ... by having maintained, foremost, our fellowship with HIM:
Jude 17-25 - But beloved remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making a difference. And others, save with fear pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment spoiled by the flesh. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy. To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
My dear friends, I can't tell you the compassion that God has poured out in my heart for people today! He did that in 2004, when He revealed to me, the perils that would soon be coming upon the earth.
I reach out to you with that compassion, now, and I say these words to you:
Ephesians 3:14-18 -For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named. That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love; may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.
My prayers with each of you for VICTORY in every situation.
Shalom
