Taking my "canteen" with me - wherever I go!
It seems so very dry; the land wherein I dwell today.
Spiritually speaking, honestly, I feel much like the scriptures I read about Lot ... 2 Peter 2:7-9 - "vexed by the filthy conversation of the wicked. For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds...."
Ah, but that I know, He has made provision for me as His own (for those who believe):
John 4:13,14 - Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again. But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
John 7:37-39 - In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive; for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.
Isaiah 55:1,2 - Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money, come ye, buy, and eat, yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
O, yes! I have drunk from the wells of salvation! I have tasted and seen that the Lord is GOOD. Praise to His name, forever and ever! Amen.
Numbers 21:17 - Than Israel sang this song, "Spring up, O well; sing ye unto it...."
Sometimes we need to "stir up that gift that is within us" ... lest it become a stagnant pool!
Psalm 63:1 - O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is. To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
Psalm 42:1,2 - As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
Ah, I thank you, Lord, that you make "pools" in the desert for your own!
Drink deeply - from the wells of salvation - today!
Glory to you, Father!
Shalom!
